About Kamalaya

Kamalaya is a 180-foot Amels with a Tim Heywood exterior, a full-beam master suite with a fold-down balcony, and a sun deck of roughly 2,150 square feet with a jacuzzi, bar and dining area for ten guests.

Amels built Kamalaya in steel in 2013, to a design by Tim Heywood, and a refit followed in 2024. Twin MTU engines drive the full-displacement hull at 13 knots, and stabilizers steady the yacht both at anchor and underway. Draft is just over eleven feet. Interiors are the work of French designer Rémi Tessier. Fourteen crew look after ten guests, a ratio that suits a long stay aboard.

The sun deck covers about 2,150 square feet and gives 360-degree views, with a jacuzzi, a bar and a table for dining outdoors. Five suites sleep ten. The master stateroom spans the full beam of the hull and adds a private office and a balcony that folds down from the side. The yacht also has a beach club and a gym with a personal trainer on board.

A 20-foot Yachtwerft Meyer tender and a 14-foot SOLAS rescue tender handle runs ashore. The toy list includes an e-foil, two two-person Sea-Doo jet skis, two Seabobs, an inflatable paddleboard, two inflatable kayaks, water skis, and an inflatable pool, trampoline and docks. That is enough variety to keep guests of mixed ages busy between meals, whether they prefer the water or the sun deck.

Best For

Kamalaya suits an established charter family or a group of friends who want room to spread out and a fully staffed yacht. The sun deck and the beach club give the week two different rhythms, and the personal trainer suits guests who keep up a routine. Ask us about the master suite and how the crew can plan a week around your group.

Weekly rates are in US dollars, converted from euro at the European Central Bank rate of October 20, 2026 and rounded to the nearest $5,000. The rate covers the yacht and crew. Running costs such as fuel, food, drinks and berthing are paid from an advance provisioning allowance, usually 30 to 35 percent of the rate, with any unspent balance returned. VAT depends on the cruising area, delivery fees apply only if the yacht must reposition, and crew gratuity is at your discretion. Rates are confirmed at booking.
